§ 9.44.010. Truck and trailer parking.

  • (a)

    Trucks and/or trailers or any combination thereof exceeding twenty feet in length or thirty thousand pounds gross vehicle weight shall not be parked within any R-1 or R-2 residential zone except as permitted in subsection (c) of this section. Trucks and/or trailers found in violation of this section shall be subject to immediate impoundment.

    (b)

    The operator of a truck of any size shall not permit the motor thereof to idle for more than ten minutes when said truck is situated in a residential zone.

    (c)

    Trucks and trailers may be temporarily parked in residential zones for expeditious loading and unloading.

    (d)

    Violation of this Section is a civil infraction in the amount of seventy-five dollars. Each day is a separate offense.
