§ 9.32.030. One-way streets designated.

  • (a)

    That part of North Main Street described as: That part of North Main Street commencing at the intersection of North Main Street and Main Street and extending north on North Main Street a distance of approximately five hundred fifty (550) feet; is hereby declared to be a one-way street for northbound traffic only, and all other traffic on said part of North Main Street is hereby prohibited.

    (b)

    An alley described as: An alley situated immediately west of South 2nd Street and east of South 4th Street, running north and south adjacent to the Union Gap School terminating at West Ahtanum Road to the north and at West Franklin Street to the south, which is legally described as follows: All that portion of alleyway lying within Block 3, Plat of Yakima City, now Union Gap, as recorded in Volume "A" of Plats, page 33, records of Yakima County, Washington, lying north of the northerly right-of-way line of Franklin Street and south of the southerly right-of-way of West Ahtanum Road; is hereby declared to be a one-way street for southbound traffic only, and all other traffic on said alley is hereby prohibited.

    (c)

    That part of West Franklin Street described as: That part of West Franklin Street commencing at the alley, described in subsection (b) above, and extending east on West Franklin Street to the intersection of West Franklin Street and South Second Street; is hereby declared to be a one-way street for eastbound traffic only, and all other traffic on said part of West Franklin Street is hereby prohibited.

    Appropriate signs shall be erected and maintained indicating the one-way street. Such signs shall be purchased, manufactured, installed, operated and maintained under the supervision of the public works director and the chief of police. It is unlawful for any person to disobey the traffic signs so installed, unless otherwise directed by a police officer.
