§ 8.16.010. Posting bills.

  • (a)

    Definitions:

    (1)

    "Bill" means any notice, placard, bill, paper, sign, handbill, card, poster, advertisement, balloon, or other similar device of any medium used or intended to attract attention either to the subject matter stated thereon, or of any person or thing.

    (2)

    "Posting" or "to post" means stapling, gluing, taping, tying or otherwise placing or affixing a bill to any property or object.

    (b)

    Posting Bills. No person shall cause any bill to be posted upon any utility pole, lamp post, tree, fence, gate, pole, building, structure, or any other property or object not owned by the person without the express and advance consent of the owner.

    (c)

    Penalty. Violation of this chapter constitutes a civil violation enforced pursuant to Chapter 1.18 of this code.
