There is created a new fund to be known as the police special operations and equipment reserve fund. All cash forfeited to the city of Union Gap pursuant to state or federal controlled substance forfeiture laws, less any amounts which the city is required by law to pay to the state of Washington, shall be deposited in this fund. All expenditures from this fund shall be for police department special operations and equipment purchases.
