§ 2.06.040. Duties.

The police chief shall manage the police department, under the direction of the city manager. It is the duty of the police chief, and police department, under the police chief's direction, to enforce all ordinances duly enacted and passed by the city council, and to do all things necessary for the prosecution of offenders of the ordinances in a court of competent jurisdiction. The police chief shall attend all meetings of the city council.
