§ 18.40.010. Notice of public hearing.

    Time Frame and Method of Providing Notice of Public Hearing. Notice of public hearing shall be given by the following methods at least ten (10) days prior to the hearing:

    1.

    A copy of the notice, including a vicinity map, map will be sent to owners of all property as determined by records of the Yakima County assessor's office within three hundred (300) feet of the boundary of the subject property;

    2.

    A copy of the notice, including a vicinity map, will be sent to any person who submits written or oral comments on the application;

    3.

    A copy of the notice will be published in the official newspaper of the city. The published notice does not require a vicinity map;

    4.

    Posting of notice in a conspicuous manner on the property upon which the project is proposed to be located.

    B.

    Content of Notice of Public Hearing for All Types of Applications. The notice given of a public hearing required in this chapter, or elsewhere in city development regulations, shall at a minimum contain:

    1.

    The name of the applicant;

    2.

    The nature of the proposed use or development;

    3.

    Description of the affected property, which may be in the form of either a vicinity map or written description, reasonably sufficient to inform the public of its location;

    4.

    The date, time, and place of the hearing;

    5.

    A statement that all interested persons may appear and provide testimony, and the location where information may be examined prior to the hearing.
