§ 13.12.041. Repeat offenders—"Short form" abatement procedures.

  • (a)

    In any circumstances where property has been in violation of this chapter, written notice under Section 13.12.030 has been given, and the city council has authorized abatement within three calendar years preceding, then the shortened procedure for abatement under this section may be utilized for subsequent abatement of that property.

    (b)

    Upon discovery of such property upon which grass, weeds, shrubs, bushes, trees or other vegetation or debris constitutes an existing or potential fire hazard as determined by the fire chief, the fire chief or his designee may immediately give written notice under Section 13.12.030. In the event the notice is not contested as set forth in the notice, the fire chief may immediately abate the hazard and issue a three hundred fifty dollar civil penalty citation.
