§ 11.32.020. Improvements.

  • Pursuant to the goals enumerated in Section 11.32.010, unpaved streets shall be improved as follows:

    (a)

    The city will provide water-soluble dust abatement to all unpaved public streets owned and controlled by the city, which are not served with city water mains and sewer lines. The city shall cease providing dust abatement three years after the water and sewer is installed. The public works director shall determine the type, frequency and manner of providing such dust abatement.

    (b)

    The city will pave unpaved streets only upon creation of a local improvement district, with the improvement to be paid in whole by assessments against the property or properties specially benefitted; provided, in the event that gifts, grants, or similar funding is available said funds may be so used.

    (c)

    No new streets shall be accepted by the city unless the same be improved pursuant to city specifications.
